Biographical / Historical
Chester Morse Jones was born on March 29, 1891 in Portland, Maine, United States. Son of Harry Lee and Maria Albertina (Morse) Jones completed Bachelor of Arts from Williams College in 1913. He practised investment business for a while and retured to study medicine and got his Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard University in 1919. Later he also obtained Doctor of Science degree in 1942.
Throughout his professional career he was associated with Massachusetta General Hospital and the Harvard Medical School. In 1940, he spent an year at Vanderbilt as an Associate Professor of Medicine.
