Biographical / Historical
Dr. Francis received his M.D. degree from Yale University Medical School and completed his internship at Buffalo General Hospital. He later received further training from Yale Medical School and came to Vanderbilt Medical Center in 1937. He served as a professor of radiology at Vanderbilt from 1947 and was named head of the department in 1955.
