Biographical / Historical
Kevin Churchwell graduated from MIT in 1983 and obtained his MD from Vanderbilt Medical School in 1987. He later interned and completed his residency at Children's Hospital in Boston, MA. He started teaching Pediatrics and Anesthesia at VUMC from 1995. Later in 2008 he was named in one of the Nashville Business Journal's Health Care Heros while he was serving as the cEO of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's hospital at Vanderbilt. In Dec 2010, Dr. Kevin left Vanderbilt and moved to Nemours/ Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington as CEO.
