Biographical / Historical
Dr. Bruner received his undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska, and recvived his M.D. degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Franciso, California and a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Hospital at The University of Pennsylvannia in Philadelphia. He joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1990. He has worked extensively in the area of fetal surgey and was part of the first group to repair spina bifida in utero, and the first to place a shunt for isolated hydrocephalus in utero.
