Historical or Biographical Note
Dr. Thomas G. Arnold Jr. served as the Martha Washington Strauss-Harry H. Strauss Instructor in Biophysics in Medicine at Vanderbilt University Department of Medicine from 1952 until his retirement in 1988. He was particularly noted for his research in electrocardiology, dye densitometry, neonatal intensive care, and pulmonary medicine.
