Historical or Biographical Note

George Burrus graduated from Vanderbilt University with his B.A. in 1953 and his M.D. in 1955. He served as Clinical Instructor in Surgery from 1961 to 1966 and also served as Assistant Clinical Professor in Cardiac & Thoracic Surgery at Vanderbilt. Burrus has an impressive publication record.
