Historical or Biographical Note

Scott B. Boyd, D.D.S., Ph.D., was appointed Chair of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 1997. Boyd has also served as Program Director of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detriot (1989-1997) and was previously assistant professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
