Historical or Biographical Note
Rosamond Gabrielson received her education at Hotel Dieu Nursing School in El Paso, Texas, and Arizona State University (B.S. Psychology, 1955; M.S. Guidance and Counseling, 1958). From 1972 to 1976, Gabrielson served as president of the American Nurses' Association. She joined the faculty at Vanderbilt in 1976 as Director of Nursing Services. She retired in 1987.
