Bound record book (ledger type) containing class notes taken by Thomas Elmor Dilworth who was a student and 1925 graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Two images; one being a digital scan of a newspaper clipping containg a photograph of the the hospital in Corona, Alabama where he first practiced , and the second being a group photograh taken in front of the Hillman Hospital in Birmingham where Dr. Dilworth served his residency in 1925-26.

Biographical / Historical
Thomas Elmore Dilworth was born Jan. 1, 1900, in New Hope, Alabama. He went to college at David Lipscomb College in Nashville and then to Medical School at Vanderbilt University where he graduated in 1925. He completed his residency training at Hillman Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama in 1926. Dr. Dilworth practiced medicine in Alabama for his entire career, first in Corona and later Coal Valley before settling in Huntsville where he practiced with a cousin Ezekiel Whittaker, and remained for the remainder of his career. He died in Huntsville January 30, 1985.
