Biographical / Historical

Dr. Kirk R. Wilhelmus, graduated from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 1975. In his fourth year of medical school, he served as editor and chief of the centennial edition of Vita, which is a photographic record of the activities of the class of 1975. Dr. Wilhelmus completed a residency in ophthalmology at Baylor College of Medicine and currently (2021) is Professor at the Cullen Eye Institute of the Baylor College of Medicine iin Houston, Texas.

Abstract

Personal papers of Dr. Kirk R. Wilhelmus consisting of materials produced while he was a medical student at Vanderbilt Univesity School of Medicine from 1971-75. Materials include original layout and photographs used to produce the 1975 "Centennial Edition" of the student annual "Vita," and notebooks containing class notes and reserch while he was a student. Additional materials include correspondence, textbooks and class reunion materials.

Condition Description

All materials are in good condition. The 80 layout pages containing photographs were placed in photographic polyester sleeves to ensure preservation.
