Biographical / Historical

Warren W. Webb, served as Professor of Psychiatry and Psychology Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. A native of LaGrange, MO, he was born February 20, 1924 the son of Rev. and Mrs. W. Wright Webb. He received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina and his Ph.D. from Duke University. During World War II he served in United States Naval Reserve as an Ensign. At Vanderbilt, he served on several committees including Medical School Admissions Committee, and Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects. Additional affiliations and memberships included service as a member of the Tennessee Board of Examiners in Psychology, Vice President of the Tennessee Psychological Association, and membership in the American Psychological Association. He had 34 professional articles published, and was author of the History of the Department of Psychiatry at Vanderbilt as well as co-author of the First Grade Screening Test. He died in Brentwood, Tennessee August 6, 2018.
