Personal papers of Vanderbilt professor (1936-1963) Rudolph H. Kampmeier, a leading authority on physical diagnosis and sexually transmitted diseases. Dr. Kampmeier served as President of the American College of Physicians and in his retirement published books on the history of Vanderbilt Medical School and the Tennessee Medical Association. Materials include: correspondence; notebooks; manuscripts; articles; lectures; research notes; clippings; photos and slides; reprints of Vanderbilt staff; biographical material; national, state and Regional Organizations; Vanderbilt; hospital work; ICNND nutritional surveys. Correspondents include: John B. Youmans, William W. Frye, Allen O. Whipple, Harvie Branscomb, William J. Darby, Harris D. Riley. Correspondence is organized chronologically from 1929-1989. Some professional correspondence is organized alphabetically. Collection also contains tapes and typescripts from Vanderbilt doctors.
