This file deals wirh November 20, 2006 event in 208 LH in which Jacobson, Wyatt and Jim Cooper spoke, book was presented to faculty, friends, and family; CD of Cooper's talk; hard copy of his talk supplied by his office; DC to Sarah Reynolds Sept 28, 2006 about master list of VIPs/friends of VU for Nov 20; guest list from dinner in 1997 as guide for Nov event; Jan Lotterer's poem about Ike sent to RDC; Drafts of letters sent to Ann R Sept 12 and copies of actual letters going out of Jacobson's office; Fax to Marilyn Johnson in Special Events about plans; Reynolds to RDC Sept 12 and 13 showing market value of RRR Lectureship at $146 K(Lecture had not been given since inaugural in 1997)RDC to Cooper on Oct 6 after call from Cooper--letter sent with attached documents and to Cooper's office Oct 12 requesting photo; notes on conversation with Ann R on Oct 10 with her guest list for proposed luncheon and approval for sponsoring lectureship by Jim Cooper; RDC to Jim Blumstein 11 Oct about having lectureship in VIPPS--Law School Development said they were not interested in gift of $5000 for lectureship; Marilyn Johnson to RDC on Oct 12 requesting info about brochure; Blumstein to RDC on Oct 31 with terms for Cooper lecture sponsored by VIPPS; Cooper's office to RDC Oct 31 about title--this was immediately pre-election time; Cooper's office to RDC accepting proposed title; RDC to Jacobson on Nov 1 with update; Marilyn Johnson to RDC on Nov 7 about poster and brochure; invitation from RDC to Blumstein for lecture (he did attend); second request for more notice of lecture from RDC to Jacobson on Nov 14; Cooper's office bio on Cooper for brochure; Notes given Dr. Jacobsonon Nov 13 about event one week later; Medical Center e-mail on Nov 17 inviting faculty and staff (may have been only notice sent from Vice Chancellor's office; Notes to Jim Cooperabout his book on Financial Status of US (RDC purchased copies to be distributed as shown); RDC reviewed Cooper speech and made comments as shown; sample poster displayed at lecture--photos of all appointees by Ike were also put on posters; Reporter from Nov 17 and Dec 1; Mary Etta's note of congratulations to RDC (Ann R was also pleased).
