Clark was appointed Director of Hospital, succeeding Connell and was very instrumental in revitalization of VUH at time of financial crisis; Papers include a study of VUH by MacLean (and Clark); letters from Clark to VUH staff sent in 1948 to 1950; correspondence in Chancellor Branscomb's file to and fro Clark about recruitment of Clark, hospital problems, departure in 1950 for North Carolina; Note Clark reported directly to Chancellor although EWG was administrative officer interacting with BOT]; correspondence between Collins and Clark in 2000 about Dean chapter in Goodpasture biography; Clark comments on EWG's role as Dean; Clark papers at UNC Library; A copy of Clarks reminiscences is stored at Eskind in Henry Clark's folder.
