Scope and Contents From the Collection:

This collection contains a photocopy of one handwritten letter with typescript, and one poem. The letter describes the long trek from the Southeast to California, by way of New York. The writer relates his experiences as he traveled by land, rail, and sea. He describes life in the country of California, cost of land, employment for teachers and school standards. The poem relates to World War II experiences in Europe.
