Biographical / Historical
Sir Nathaniel Bacon (1546-1622), an active member of Parliament and High Sheriff of Norfolk, was the half-brother of the famous philosopher and statesman Francis Bacon (1561-1626).
The Lady Knyvett, widow, was the wife of Thomas Knyvett, Baron Knyvett of Escrick, died 1622. He discovered Guy Fawkes' plot when Justice of the Peace for Westminster, 1605.
