The Fetaque Sanders Collection, c. 1930s-1950s, consists of 16 promotional broadsides for Tennessee magician Fetaque Sanders, 1915-1992.

Biographical / Historical
Fetaque Sanders, 1915-1992, was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 12, 1915. Sanders completed his studies at Tennessee State University in 1938 and began his career as a performer. He moved to Washington, D. C., in 1939 and married Irene Kennedy in 1942. The couple performed at a Magic on Broadway show in New York City in 1943, and Sanders went on to perform for African American troops with the United Services Organization during World War II. When Sanders retired in 1962, he moved back to Nashville and became a magic collector. He died on June 2, 1992.
