Biographical / Historical
Jesse Taylor, Jr., was born on February 14, 1942, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Jesse Taylor and Gladys Hardin. He earned a BA degree from Vanderbilt University in 1964 and later received a MA degree and a JD degree from The University of Arkansas. After serving in the Marine Corps Judge Advocate General's Office, he joined the May Department Stores Company, where he rose to the position of Senior Counsel before retiring in 2007. Taylor died in Saint Louis, Missouri, on July 24, 2007.
