Scope and Contents
This collection includes a review written by Mooney of a biography written about Davy Crockett, a short biography of William Blount, a review written by Thomas B. Alexander on "Political Reconstruction in Tennessee", and an article titled "The Politics of Elites: Prominence and Party in Davidson County, Tennessee, 1835-1861" by Burton W. Folsom II, a former student of Mooney's.

Biographical / Historical
Chase Curran Mooney (September 30, 1913 – April 29, 1973) was an American historian. He completed his BA, MA, and PhD at Vanderbilt University and went on to teach at Indiana University.
