Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Image depicts the Assumption of the Virgin Mary or Dormition of the Theotokos, in which after the death of Christ, the Virgin Mary continued to live out her earthly life to completion, on her death bed, God transported all of disciples to her death bed and at which time she was taken to heaven. Here, we see the twelve disciples gather around the tomb of Mary, and look up as her spirit rises to heaven (not pictured).
