Christ falling under the Cross, Painting depicts the New Testament, Passion Scene of Jesus carrying the cross on the way to the crucifixion in Calvary. The crowded scene shows Roman soldiers on horses, woman fainted or in mourning, most likely the Three Marys, and on lookers. One woman is shown holding a shroud with Jesus' face, representing the later famed relic. One man plays a long horn. The scene takes place in an outdoor landscape with Jerusalem in the background.
