There is a central tier, upper tier, and predella. In the upper tier is a central panel depicting the Dead Christ supported by angels, and the annunciation to the Virgin in the two outer panels. In this detail we see the right panel of the upper register showing the Virgin Mary of the annunciation. She clasps her hands together in penitence and there is a curtain in the background.
