Three Scenes from the Life of Mary, This image shows three scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary: in the left panel, the marriage of the Virg; in the central panel, the adoration of the Magi; in the right panel, the presentation of the Christ Child in the temple. These scenes are part of a a series of six scenes, the other three shown in SC.MSS.088.VENI.0138.

In the first panel, Mary is presented by her mother to Joseph, who holds a blooming branch with the dove of the Holy Spirit perched atop it. There are other men holding or breaking sticks - referring to the "Golden Legend". The Priest joins the hands of Mary and Joseph. The scene is set in front of the temple. In the central scene is the Adoration of the Magi. Here, just outside of the stable, Mary holds the Christ Child in her lap while Joseph stands beside her. The Magi and their entourage are lined up, approaching Christ with gifts, and the Magi at the front kneels to kiss Christ's foot. In the stable are donkeys, and in the distant countryside are shepherds with their flocks receiving the message of Christ's birth from a hovering angel. In the right panel is the presentation of the Christ Child in the temple. Here, in the center of the panel, Mary and the priest together hold the Christ Child as He is passed from the one to the other. Beside Mary, Joseph stands, holding two doves in his arms. There are also other witnesses present, surrounding the scene and surrounded by walls of the temple. In the lower front of the scene is a kneeling donor nun.
