The first depicts the funeral procession of the Virgin Mary, led by Saint John holding the palm, with seven other haloed saints while all 12 were said to be an attendance except Saint Thomas. The group carries the body of the "sleeping" Virgin Mary. The second predella depicts the Doubting Thomas story in which Saint Thomas doubt he is in the presence of the resurrected Christ and needs to physically touch the wounds.
