Letter from Sallie to Camilla, February 3, 1858
Scope and Contents
This collection contains two letters from the Civil War era and some school ephemera from the 1890s. The 1858 letter is to “Camilla” who later became Mrs. R.D. Jamison. The other letter is a positive photostat of a letter from Mr. Jamison to his wife dated January 20, 1864 at Dalton, Georgia where Mr. Jamison was serving in the Adjutant General’s office of Brown’s brigade of the Confederate Army. The remaining items are printed announcements of schools in which Mr. Jamison served as a teacher and some “Reward of Merit” cards.
