Scope and Contents
A month after Bolívar's victory, the former owner of the aguardiente shop requests restitution after being jailed for 5 years. Describes the Tavera family's small business es and economic challenges of the aguardiente monopoly under Spain and hopes for justice under the newly established republic of Gran Colombia.
