The Garments series (132 items, 17.125 linear feet) consists of clothing and accessories worn by Dom Flemons during his performing career, and the dress his wife Vania Kinard wore to the 61st Grammy awards. The series is organized by type. The boxes contain hats, shoes, glasses, unique articles of clothing, t-shirts, button-up shirts, and corduroy pants worn by Flemons throughout his career, and the outfits Flemons and Kinard wore to the 61st Grammy awards in 2019. Flemons wore these garments during performances and collected them as part of his activities as a touring musician.

The physical materials from this collection may be viewed only in the reading room of Vanderbilt’s Special Collections and University Archives.
