Scope and Contents
The Reference Materials and Liner Notes series (101 items, 1.25 linear feet) consists of research and reference materials and drafts of liner notes. The series is organized into 13 folders. The folders contain articles featuring Dom Flemons, liner notes for albums he was a part of, record collection lists, and articles about Americana and folk music, and the items date to 2006 to 2022. Many of the articles in this series Dom Flemons acquired from folklorist Peter Lowry.

The physical materials from this collection may be viewed only in the reading room of Vanderbilt’s Special Collections and University Archives. Several folders of research related materials originated from other archives, museums, or websites. Please see the following original copies of the research.
On the external hard drive, one of the folders "Frank Clyde Brown Cylinder recordings from tape" included digitized copies from Frank Clyde Brown Collection #20022-z, Southern Folklife Collection, Wilson Special Collections Library, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
The folder "Chisholm Kid" included pictures from the exhibit "Gilcrease Museum Chisholm Kid: Lone Fighter for Justice for All exhibit" on https://gilcrease.org/exhibitions/chisholmkid/

The folder "Music Albums for Research" included the research website https://www.gribbleluskandyork.org/ that included downloaded copies of the audiovisual materials.
The folder "Archvival Footage" included downloads of digitized resources such as the feature film "The Bronze Buckaroo, 1939," "Sounds of Summer 1969," the National Film Preservation Foundation, Alan Lomax's 1978 trip through the Mississippi Delta and Hill Country, and University of North Carolina's "Jarrell and Cockerham" materials.
