Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.FLEM.1012; Public Notes: This piece is one in a series of 21 paintings depicting the life of Marie de Medici. The series was commissioned by Marie herself and once hung in the Queen's palace, the Palais du Luxembourg.
