Scope and Contents

Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.FLEM.0799; Public Notes: Typically, a parrot is present resting on the arm of a chair. For whatever reason, the bird cannot be seen in this photograph. Sources mention that overpainting was recently removed. Perhaps the bird was uncovered and this photograph was taken prior to that discovery.
