Madonna and Child and Flight into Egypt, The Madonna and Child both hold open books; Mary stands before hers on a podium, and the Baby Jesus holds his open as he sits. Mary holds a flower in her left hand, and the child holds an orb. Behind them is an exotic landscape with palms and large rocks. Coming through a standing gate Mary and Jesus ride on a donkey while Joseph walks alongside. Due to the landscape and the baby's appearance, this looks to be after the child is born and the family goes to Egypt to escape King Herod. This is a basic record created to enable public access to scanned images. Full research on this image is pending.
