Deposition of Christ, Painting is a fresco found on the south arm of the western transept of the Lower Church in the San Francesco at Assisi which depicts the Passion Narrative of Christ from the New Testament. This detail is of the Deposition of Christ from the Cross by the Three Marys, Saint Joseph, Saint John, and Saint Nicodemus who clutch the body of Christ in different stages of grief., ca. 1320
