The Paul Haupt Collection, 1884, consists of the manuscript of Das Babylonische Nimrodepos by scholar Paul Haupt, 1858-1926. This version was handwritten by German archaeologist and historian, Hugo Winckler.

Biographical / Historical

German Assyriologist Paul Haupt published the first comprehensive edition of the cuneiform texts in 1884 under the title Das Babylonische Nimrodepos (The Babylonian Nimrod Epic). This rare, handwritten version was created by German archaeologist and historian, Hugo Winckler.
