Scope and Contents
Originally published in the Source. Contains an image of Slick Rick, who was jailed for attempted murder (he claimed self-defense) and then fought deportation after serving 17 months. Slick Rick is known for his hit song "La Di Da Di" (1985) which features him rapping over Doug E Fresh's beatboxing. He followed up with a number one album in 1988. In 1994 at the time this image was published in the Source, Slick Rick released the album Behind Bars.
