This collection contains 3 16mm color films and 64 slides depicting scenes from Mexico and Guatemala circa 1940, created by William Fisher. The entire collection has been digitized.
The films are available digitally, in DVD format, and in original 16mm format. The 16mm films are stored offsite in cold storage.

Summary of Scenes
This 16mm color film was made by William L Fisher in 1939 or 1940. It was shot entirely in Guatemala ('Mayanland'). The Caucasian person in the film is Jack White, William's business associate.
The film is mostly of native Guatemalans in their daily life. The film includes the following, among other things (not necessary in order):
Market scenes;
Men and women carrying huge loads to market, in some cases over water on boats;
Women weaving;
Man spinning cotton;
People bathing;
Women washing clothes in enclosed area;
Architectural ruins;
Native dancing;
Festival;
Shrine;
Burning of incense (?);
Volcanic lake scenes;
Long view of waterfall;
Piñata scene with children;
Drying beans;
Harvesting bananas;
Parrots cleaning themselves;
Horses and mules;
Lemon trees;
Flowers.
