The Veneration of the Eucharist, In this painting, a woman, possibly the personification of the Catholic Church, is seated on a lion. She holds in her hands the monstrance with the sacred host inside. The Holy Spirit flies overhead in the form of a dove. Below her is the Christ child who holds the sacred heart and a wooden cross. Surrounding the woman and the Christ child are various saints, including Saints Peter, Paul, Catherine, Rosalie, Sebastian, Augustine, Jerome, Gregory and Ambrose.
