[The Stories of Nebuchadnezzar in the Old Testament], Two depictions of Old Testament stories of King Nebuchadnezzar. First, shown in the background, illustrates three Jewish youths, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, who refused to worship a large, golden idol erected by the king and were then punished by being cast into a fiery furnace. Miraculously, the three emerged unscathed. Second, in the foreground, Nebuchadnezzar is depicting as the conqueror of nations., c. 1550
