Lot and his Daughters, Painting depicting Lot and his two daughters after the destruction to Sodom. The biblical story is found in Genesis and states that on two separate occasions the daughters gave wine to Lot so that they could have sexual relations with him. The two daughters feared that with the destruction to the cities around them, they would be unable to find suitors to father their children and that their father was their only option. In this depiction Lot is pictured asleep in the lap of one of his daughters while the other is also laying on him. One of the daughters is seen half dressed suggesting that this was the scene after they had taken advantage of Lot. The scene takes place in a cave and outdoor landscape., around 1622

Rest in Egypt, Painting depicting the New Testament scene of the Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph resting in Egypt with the Christ child. The two fled Bethlehem from King Herod's decree of infanticide. Joseph is seem as an older man resting on the sack of their belongings while Mary is depicted in contemporary dress breast feeding the naked Christ child., circa 1626-1628

Saint Francis and the Angel, Painting depicting the religious scene of Saint Francis' stigmata received from an angel. Saint Francis is depicted in his Franciscan robe, unconscious with stigmata marks on his hands and a saint halo. The angel is depicted holding Saint Francis with large white wings., circa 1612-1613

The Martyrs Cecilia, Valerian and Tiburtius Visited by an Angel, Painting depicts the revelation of an angel to Saints Cecilia, Valerian and Tibertius. The story describes that a young Cecilia was forced to marry after her vow of virginity. On her wedding day to Valerian, she informed him of her vow and that she had an angel to protect her. He asked for proof, to which she responded that he could only see after he had been baptized. So after his baptism he returned to her and saw the angel. His brother Tibertius heard of this revelation and also received a baptism to see the angel. After the revelation the three of them began a successful ministry. The angel is seen flying above the trio with a crown of flowers for Cecilia to represent her faith. One of the two men are pictured kneeling with Cecilia in praise and the other man is seen observing the angel from the doorway., circa 1607
