The Lovers; Unknown subject thought Lucrezia Romana, Painting depicts three characters, two men and a woman. The man on the left is depicted in a hat, making direct eye contact with the viewer while his hand is on the breast of the woman in the middle. She is leaning on the first man and appears to be asleep. Behind them is a third man, he is directly behind the woman but is looking at the first man. All characters are in contemporary dress.
