Madonna and Child, Sculpture depicts the Madonna and Child enthroned and adorned with royal objects. Carved within a niche, the Virgin Mary and Christ Child both wear draped robes of rich fabrics, bear elaborate crowns, and each hold a scepter, while seated on an ornate throne. Jesus’ hand is open as if in welcome.
