Annunciation, The two panels, most likely comprising a diptych, show the Annunciation of the Immaculate Conception. Taken from Luke 1, the scene shows the Archangel Gabriel, on the left, holding a banner and telling the Virgin Mary, on the right, that she is to be with child. This child will be the Messiah.
