Found in 2 Collections and/or Records:
Saint Louis of Toulouse, The saint is standing barefoot within a room, with an open window behind him, a tiled floor beneath his feet, and columns and Gothic patterned arches in the architectural space behind him. He is wearing bishop's dress, holding an open book with inscriptions, and a crosier rests beneath his arm. At his feet is a crown, which relates to the tradition that he renounced the throne. On his robe are fleur-de-lis, as well as five unidentified figural depictions on his cloak. He also is depicted with an inscribed halo. Post calls it a "standing effigy." (Post, 1933), ca.1450
