Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.BOFE.0183; Public Notes: This piece was part of the Cook collection, through mulitple generations, from 1882 until 1953. The work was bought by Samuel H. Kress in 1954 and gave the painting as a gift to the National Gallery of Art in 1961.

Requesting Materials
Each finding aid contains a link to request materials from the collections. Collections can also be requested by emailing the repository directly through the library website. Collections are non-circulating and must be used in the repository’s reading room. In many cases, the collections are stored off-site and require advance notice for retrieval.
