Moses Striking Water from the Rock and the Fall of Manna, This painting is an arched panel from the interior wall of a chapel. It is broken up into two parts on either side of the door and central mural of two putti holding an orb and the Eucharistic sacraments of a host and a chalice of wine. The two narratives on either side are from the Israelites wandering through the desert led by Moses. On the left, the scene comes from the Book of Exodus chapter 17. Moses is shown in an orange cloak with horns and long hair and beard. He turns his face away as he strikes a rock for water with his staff. Below, the peoples drink from the flow and the ground. On the right the narrative comes from the Book of Exodus chapter 16, in which the Lord's method of feeding the Israelites during their wanderings is introduced. The specks falling from the sky represent the fall of manna from the heavens. On a daily basis, save the Sabbath, the Lord would provide manna from the sky and the people would gather it from the ground for the day's food. The composition as a whole is stylistically Baroque or an early precursor to the style. The exaggerated and energetic gestures of the people and the well-defined bodies show this vibrant style. Furthermore, the bright colors and the organization of the people into pyramids, with many below and few atop, show the patterns of this style. Portrait of a Man Holding a Statuette, The portrait shows a half-length sitter from the waist up. He stands tall with his chest pointed slightly to the viewer's left, but his face turned forward. He wears a black garment with a white collar and gold embroidery. He holds both hands in front of him in order to hold a statuette; his left hand prominently displays a gold ring on his left pinky finger. The statuette may be Venus of Urbino, a repeated motif of the goddess in which she covers herself after being interrupted during a bath, though often in a sexual and revealing manner. He is shown in an interior space, with a dark curtain behind him on the viewer's right. In this photograph, the frame encloses the picture and a plaque at the bottom gives information on the artist, his dates, and the work itself. Portrait of a Young Man, The portrait shows a half-length sitter from the waist up. He stands tall with his chest pointed slightly to the viewer's left, but his face turned forward. He wears a black coat with a white shirt frilled at his neck and showing at his wrists. His coat and his hat seem to have additional pleats and gold bits, perhaps to subtly show his wealth. His left hand sits on his hip prominently displaying the ring on his pinky finger, this may be a signet ring or seal, showing his status or his membership within a high society. The other hand, his right, holds a finger in the middle of the book as if keeping his place. He is shown in an interior space, with a table under the book on his right, and a chair arm by his left side. They show elaborate carvings on the wood, but otherwise, the scene focuses solely on the sitter. This record and SC.MSS.088.FLOR.10708 are from different sources, but are identical images. This is a basic record created to enable public access to scanned images. Full research on this image is pending., c.1530s

Portrait of a Young Man with a Lute, The image is a detail of the sitter's head from the following painting. He wears a black hat and black frock and tights, with a white collar showing at his neck. He rests his left hand on his thigh and rests his right arm against a table and holds a lute in his hand. On the table over a green table cloth, a small-scale statue shows the Classic Venus of Urbino, a motif in which the half-clothed or nude goddess is shown caught in the act of bathing.
