Madonna and Child Enthroned with Nine Angels and Saint Dominic and Catherine of Alexandria, Panel with the Madonna and Child enthroned with nine angels, Saint Dominic, and Saint Catherine of Alexandria. The Virgin Mary holds a rose, Saint Dominic holds lilies and Saint Catherine holds the palm of martyrdom and a wheel rests just behind her. The Madonna and Child are elevated and enlarged while the two saints and surrounding angels are intentionally smaller though all are haloed., circa 1435

Stories of St Nicholas of Bari, Painting is a part of the Perugia Altarpiece which depicts the miracles of Saint Nicholas of Bari, the fourth century Christian saint and martyr. This predella depicts the miracle of Saint Nicholas saving a ship from shipwreck when the sailors aboard prayed to him. The scene takes place at a port with groups of men in various scenes of nautical activity and a city appears in the far corner of the painting. The ship in danger appears to the right of the frame, under dramatic dark lighting, in which Saint Nicholas appears above them in clerical vestments., circa 1437

The Martyrdom of Saint Mark, Painting is part of the predella in the Linaioli Altarpiece. The painting depicts the martyrdom of Saint Mark, in which Mark upon returning to the city of Alexandria is targeted and attacked for his Christian faith. Following the story, Mark's body was bound and dragged through the city, when he collapsed and his soul ascended the crowd attempted to burn his body. At this time, a divine hailstorm descended upon the people. Here, Fra Angelico depicts the moment in which Saint Mark's body lays prone and the group of men that persecuted him are struck by hail., c. 1433
