Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.BASS.0118; Public Notes: Provenance unknown. Described by Giacomo Manilli in 1650 when it was in the gallery with seven other works by the same artist. An inventory of 1693 attributes the work to Jacopo Bassano. Toward the end of the 19th Century, Adolfo Venturi questioned the attrtbution to Bassano.
