Madonna and Child in Half Length, This painting depicts a tender embrace between the Virgin Mary and the Christ-child. Mary gazes down at the Christ-child, holding him close while the naked Christ-child gazes upward, resting his hand on the Virgin's chest. There are tall trees in the background., c.1472
