Madonna and Child Enthroned, This image shows the Virgin and Christ Child. The Virgin is seen in half-length, and with her hands supports the Christ Child, who stands on a ledge in front of Mary. She holds a fabric drape which partially covers the Child. He reaches for Mary's hand., c. 1440 - c. 1460, Photographed in before 1924
Vanderbilt photo identifier: SC.MSS.088.VENI.0213; Public Notes: Formerly in P.Paolini, Rome, and Asta American Art Association, NYC. Sold from Paolini in 1924. Now housed in Agnew's, London, since 1926. As of February 2, 2013, it was announced that Agnew's was to close its doors, so the painting most likely will move on to another location.
