Portrait of Sir Abel van Coulster, Portrait of Sir Abel van Coulster, a lawyer of the Court of Holland in 1512. Van Coulster stands at a parapet in the foreground. He is turned in three-quarter view and holds a piece of jewelry in his hands, possibly a rosary. In the upper left corner, the Virgin Mary and Christ child sit enthroned in the sky. Angels fly around them and an unidentified person falls from the sky. A crowd of people watch from below. On the rectangular column to the right, putti stand holding the sitter's coat of arms., c.1512
