Assumption of the Virgin, Cupola fresco depicting the ascension of the Virgin Mary into heaven. Four patron saints of Perma in shell niches: Saint Joseph, Saint Bernard, Uberti of Florence, John the Baptist, and Saint Hilary. Other discernible figures in the heavenly gathering: Samson with a jaw bone of an ass; Noah drunk with grapes; Abraham and Isaac with a lamb; Moses with tablets; Jesse next to the Virgin Mary with lilies flowering from his chest; John the Baptist as a youth holding a red cross. Also, Adam and Eve (Eve holding an apple), Judith and maid with head of Holofernes, and David and Goliath (David's face is obscurred by his arm.), 1526-1530

Requesting Materials
